Summer at the International Writers’ and Artists’ Residence — Val-David, Quebec, Canada

Summer 2011 started early at the Residence, with the visit of Dr. Li Zhi from the University of Beijing, followed by the III Multilingual Poetry Festival "Palabra en el Mundo V" on May 21 and 22, 2011, in the presence of Mrs. Nicole Davidson, the Mayor of Val-David and with the participation of numerous writers and artists from all over the world.

The Festival was followed by the arrival of Anna Levine, an award winning author of novels for young adults living in Israel, and Jane Finlayson a writer from Toronto. More artists and writers from Toronto, Canada and Teheran, Iran are to arrive shortly.

The May Festival was a huge success with the participants and the public.

Now that the III Festival International “PALABRA en el MUNDO V” (May 21, 22, 2011), is out of the way, and we still have some time left until The IV International Writers’ Festival “Lyrical Wild Berries Harvest”, a multilingual poetry and prose reading that will take place at the Writers’ and Artists’ Residence in the town of Val-David, Quebec, on October 29 and 30, 2011, we can relax enjoy the weather and Write, Write, Write!!!

A note for those interested: The list for the upcoming October 29th and 30th Festival is still open and we invite multilingual writers to join us if they wish. Please contact Flavia Cosma at flaviacosma888@yahoo.ca for further details.
