A word from the Director of the Festival-Flavia Cosma
Dear friends, chers amis, chères amies, queridos amig@s, the 22nd Writes’ International Festival at Val-David, QC, Canada, came to an end yesterday September 27th, 2020. These were two days of celebrating culture, literature and especially poetry. We watched in amazement how Muse Erato descended from her place in the sky to soothe our worries and inspire us here on the grounds at the Writers’ and Artists’ Residence in Val-David, QC, and as the Fest took place on Zoom, She—the Muse— managed to cover large parts of the world with breathtaking poems and her benevolent power. Thank you all for your efforts and dedication, for your unstoppable enthusiasm and loyalty. You were great and I am very proud of you. Namaste! Until next time I am sending you here my warmest wishes for everything you need and want, and remember, as the poet Luis Raul Calvo rightly pointed up: “Only the angels can save us”.
